Let your brand do the heavy lifting
A well-developed brand can pull the right people toward you. It can grab attention, even when you're sleeping.
Create brand gravity that pulls opportunities to you.
Whether you’re selling your services, pitching investors, trying to land that next big role, or simply scrolling LinkedIn, your personal brand is already at work. It’s the breadcrumb trail of posts, comments, and side projects that tells the world who you are before you enter any Zoom call.
This goes beyond just the clichés about things like “being authentic.” Aim for consistency, same headshot, same tone, same point of view across all your channels, so your audience recognizes you faster than they can repost a cat meme.
Three creativity-first moves you can do this week.
Signature story swipe-file. Jot down five life or work anecdotes that reveal how you solve problems (the hard problems that pay the most). Keep them handy. Sprinkle them into posts, talks, and bios for instant relatability.
Visual anchor. Choose one color or style (think e&i creative’s orange swirl) and weave it through headers, slides, and thumbnails. Repetition builds recall without a giant rebrand required.
Micro-media tour. Offer to guest on a peer’s podcast or Twitter/X Space. Prep a one-sentence hook, three talking points, and a call to action that nudges listeners to your newsletter. This is a low-effort, high-trust tactic.
Make it real: the seven-day spotlight challenge
Day 1: Update your social media headlines to finish this sentence:
“I help [audience] [achieve].”
Day 2–3: Post a 90-second video breaking down a recent win. Then pin it to the top of your profile.
Day 4: Turn that win into a carousel or thread with one takeaway per slide or comment.
Day 5: Ask your network a single, open question tied to the same theme. This is designed to generate conversation, which leads to that sought-after awareness.
Day 6: Share a behind-the-scenes photo of your process. Don’t be afraid to share your messy desk and all. It’s all about highlighting your personality.
Here’s me on the street. Tie undone, hot day, uncomfortably wearing a dark suit that’s baking me in the sun!

Day 7: Compile the week’s content into a quick email recap. Invite replies from people in your list to keep the conversation going and build relationships with key prospects.
Complete the loop, and you’ll have a mini content ecosystem.
