Have you ever seen snow?
No, this isn't a newsletter about weather or childhood experiences. The point is, when you talk about a subject, make sure your audience gets it.
Does your audience get it?
Have you ever experienced snow?
I certainly have. I grew up in the Northeastern, US.
To me, it's an "every winter" kind of thing.
I've also lived in Florida, Arizona, and South Carolina, so I've seen the opposite side as well. When I moved to those states, it amazed me how many people had never seen snow.
To many who've never seen it, it's a natural wonder that's hard to imagine.
I think of this concept when I consider the content creation process and the impact your content has on the reader.
When you create content, don't assume everyone understands the concepts you're presenting.
As with snow, the concepts you present in your content can sometimes be tricky for folks to understand.
You can easily lose your readers, and when you do that, you lose the opportunity to win new business and earn new followers.
So, craft your content so any reader, no matter their level of knowledge on the subject, can flow through the piece and grasp the concepts.
This is how you build relationships, reach a wider audience, and grow.
