Change is confusing. Do it the right way.
When rebranding your personal brand or your business, there are many things to consider. One of the most important is clarity.
I’m all about a good rebrand, but make it clear.
My favorite brand of poocorn just did a rebrand.
I discovered this while shopping recently. It made me stop and think.
If you’re going to spend the money on a rebrand (it can be 100s of thousands of $$$), why would you leave a bag of the old branding side-by-side with the new one on the shelf?
Here’s the rebrand:

This is a recipe for confusion.
“Confusing” is not something you want a buyer to call your brand.
I wasn’t sure at first if this was a rebranding or a different flavor, maybe something else altogether.
So, I bought the one with the original packaging.
I love the new design. I think it’s a big improvement on the original.
But it’s so important to plan out the launch of your rebrand in a way that avoids confusion.
